By using our website or placing an order, you agree to the terms below. We’ve written these in a clear and simple way to protect both you and our small business.
1. General Information
In Good Scents is a small-batch fragrance studio based in the United States.
All products are handcrafted and produced in limited runs, seasonal batches, or small in-stock quantities.
By visiting our site, browsing, or purchasing from us, you agree to these Terms of Service.
2. Orders + Product Availability
We do our best to keep listings accurate and up to date.
Because our products are handmade, availability may change, and we may occasionally limit quantities during busy seasons or new releases. Occasionally, inventory counts may be impacted by system delays or simultaneous checkouts.
We reserve the right to cancel or refuse an order if needed (for example: suspected fraud, incorrect pricing, or inventory issues).
Preorders + Backorders (If Offered)
Sometimes we may offer certain items as preorders or allow checkout when stock is temporarily unavailable (backorder). If an item is a preorder/backorder, it will be clearly labeled on the product page (or at checkout).
- Preorders/backorders ship later than our normal processing time. Any estimated ship window will be shown at the time of purchase.
- If timing changes (supplier delays, batch delays, etc.), we’ll email you with an update.
- If you’d rather not wait, you can request to cancel a preorder/backorder for a refund before it ships by emailing Hello@InGoodScents.com.
- If your order includes both in-stock and preorder/backorder items, we may ship everything together unless otherwise noted.
3. Pricing + Payments
All prices are shown in USD.
Payments are securely processed at checkout through Shopify’s payment providers.
We may update pricing or product offerings at any time.
4. Shipping + Delivery
Orders are packed with care and ship from the United States.
Shipping timelines and rates are explained in our Shipping Policy.
Once a package is in the carrier’s hands, delivery timing is controlled by USPS or the shipping provider.
5. Returns + Refunds
We want you to love your order.
Return and refund requests are handled through our Refund Policy, including return timelines and RMA requirements.

6. Product Use + Safety Disclaimer
Our candles, wax melts, and fragrance products must be used safely and as intended.
By purchasing from In Good Scents, you agree that:
- Candles should never be left unattended
- Products should be kept away from children and pets
- Wax melts are not edible
- Diffuser oils should avoid contact with skin, eyes, fabrics, or surfaces
In Good Scents is not responsible for the misuse of products.
7. Natural Variations
Because our products are handmade, slight variations in color, wax appearance, or scent strength may occur.
These are normal and part of the small-batch process.
8. Intellectual Property
All website content, product names, branding, photos, and designs are owned by In Good Scents and may not be copied, reproduced, or used without written permission.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, In Good Scents shall not be liable for any indirect or incidental damages related to the use of our products or website.
Our liability is limited to the purchase price of the item ordered.
10. Privacy
Your personal information is handled according to our Privacy Policy.
We never sell customer information.
